Last
night at the closing ceremony of 2nd International Folklore
Festival Dukat fest 2009, Russian ensemble Karusel held its
concert.
The Festival lasted for six days and it was held in five towns
in Republic of Srpska Banja Luka, Prijedor, Laktasi, Mrkonjic
Grad and Modrica.
Ducat fest accomplished all expectations of organizers.
The director of Dukat fest Mrs. Natalija Trivic took this
opportunity to express her gratitude for support to the Governmnet
of Republic of Srpska, Town of Banja Luka, Municipalities
Modrica and Mrkonjic Grad.
- Audience at the central evening gave us special satisfaction.
About 3000 fans of folk dance enjoyed in the tradition of
the whole world.- said Mrs. Trivic today at the press conference
in Banja Luka.
The Festival, which had charity character, collected 2 555
KM from sold tickets for four years old Vladimir Simic from
Derventa.
Representatives of UNESCO's World Association of Folk Art
have donated 1 000 dollars, stated the Head of the Festival
Office Mr. Darko Savic. He also stated that this amount of
money would be enough to cover the costs of the medical treatment
of Vladimir in Novi Sad.
- Tomorrow we are starting to prepare the next 3rd International
Folklore Festival, which should be held in more towns in Republic
of Srpska. Representatives of UNESCO's World Association of
Folk Art, which were our special guests, promised us that
it would be held the Congress of this Association next year
in Banja Luka during the Festival.-said Savic
Organizers
of the Festival have received invitations to visit similar
festivals all around the world and working group in USA next
year, what is the confirmation of the Festival success.
On
the last day of the Festival the Russain ensemble Karusel
held the concert in Modrica.
The audience in the hall of the Serbian Cultural Center was
astonished by their performance and awarded them by big aplause.
The President of Municipality, Mladen Krekic,and his associates
prepared the reception for the folk ensemble Karusel.
Today,
the folk ensembles from China and Russia have presented themselves
to the audience in Mrkonjic Grad.
These ensembles had performed the most famous dances from
thier countries and the audience awared them with big aplause.
The ensemble from China joined the charity action and they
donated 200 euro for the medical treatmnet of four years old
Vladimir Simic.
On the last day of the concert the Russian ensemble Karusel
will hold concert in Modrica.
The
sale of souvenirs have been an invitation to all citizens
to visit the final evening of the Festival, which will be
held tonight at 09.00 PM at the City Stadium in Banja Luka.
Through the conversation with the participants citizens of
Banja Luka had opportunity to meet the culture, tradition
and customes of the participant's countries.
The
conclusion of the participants of the Second Inatrnational
Folklore Festival Dukat Fest 2009, after they visited eco-center
Balkana, was that Banja Luka and its region has a very good
natural resources which should be presented as touristic potential
as soon as possible.
The guests had opportunity to enjoy in various sports activities
and domestic dishes which were prepared in the traditional
restaurant Simeuna.
On the third day of the festival the participants visited
the sloaps at Krupa na Vrbasu.
The
oprening of national costumes and instruments of participants
countries started by the fashion show of traditional national
costumes in the Museum of Republic of Srpska . The exibition
is opened till the 19th of Jun and the entrance is free.

"Dukat
fest" in the Government of Republic of Srpska
The
Ministry of Education and Culture will support Dukat fest
in aplication for UNESCO projects in order to make this Festival
to be the leading festival in the region, said the Deputy
Minister of Culture Irena Soldat-Vujanovic during the visit
of Dukat fest delegation and the representatives of the World
Association of Folk Art.
Rut Maria Garsia Martinez, the professor at Alaquas Conservatorium
in Valensia and the member of IOV, stated that next year she
will bring the representatives from Spain at Dukat fest.
- Spain is already present in the cultural life of Bosnia
and Herzegovina and it finances different cultural projects
and among them there are projects from your country too.-
said Mrs. Garsia.
George Frandsen the president of IOV for USA and regional
secretary of IOV for North America expressed his gratitude
to the Government of Republic of Srpska for contribution of
culture development in this region and he also stated that
this Festival should became a touristic product of Republic
of Srpska and he emphasized the necessity of the support of
the Institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to acomplish
that.
- The importance of Dukat fest is the fact that it promotes
the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina all around
the world and it also educate local residents which have opportunity
to meet cultures from distant countries- stated the director
of the Festival Mrs. Natalija Trivic.

The
panel discussion
The
title of the panel discussion which was held today in the
Museum of Republic of Srpska is - The experiences and methods
in gathering of national treasures in ethnology, ethno music
and folk dance-
The
moderator of the panel, MA Irena Medar- Tanjga stated this
is the great opportunity to present to the guests from
Europe different ways of preserving our heritage.
These
lectures are of great importance because we had opportunity
to hear the experiences of experts from our country and also
to hear the ways which are applied in the world in order to
preserve tradition and customes of one nation as better as
possible- stated Mrs. Medar-Tanjga.

Aija Jansone ,the Head of Department of Ethnology at the Institue
of History in the University in Letonia , illustrated the
possibilities of tradition preserving and cooperation of experts
with all fans of national heritage.

Every five years we organize folk festival, where we have
more than 1000 participants from more than 500 folk ensembles,
who work togather at choreography.- said Mrs. Aija Jansone.
In
first part of panel discussion participants were Danijela
Djukanovic, curator-ethnologist in the Museum of Republic
of Srpska, Marica Popic-Filipovic, the consultant in the Earth
Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Sarajevo, Tanja Lazic,
the head of ethnologic collection in the Museum of Semberia
from Bijeljina, Branko Pjevic, the president of cultural-artistic
council frrom Istocno Sarajevo.
In
the second part of panel the participants were MA Garsia Martinez,
conservator and the professor at Alaquas Conservatorium from
Valensia, Ph.D. Aija Jansone, the Head of Department of Ethnology
at the Institue of History from Letonia, George Frendsen,
the president of IOV for USA and regional executive secretary
of IOV for North America and David Carlcuist the member of
IOV for USA.
Today
the Second International Folk festival Dukat fest 2009 was
open by the opening ceremony and the parade of the participants
at Krajina Square in Banja Luka.
At the opening ceremony Minister of education and Culture
Mr. Anton Kasipovic expressed his regret because the magic
of Dukat fest lasts only for six days, but he believes that
friendships and memories from Banja Luka and Republic of Srpska
will last forever in participant's hearts.
The Mayor of Banja Luka Mr. Dragoljub Davidovic, the director
of the Festival Mrs. Natalija Trivic and representatives of
the World Association of Folk Art also participated at the
opening ceremony.
"Everything
is ready for the beginning of the Second International Folk
Festival Dukat fest", said the director of the Festival
Natalija Trivic at the press conference which was held today
in Banja Luka.
"Almost all folk ensembles have already arrived. At the
final ceremony which will be held on the 19th of Jun at 21.00
at the City Stadium in Banja Luka international jury will
elect three best ensembles and visitors will be placed in
the western part of the Stadium, which is covered, so they
will be able enjoy the concert in case of rain", said
Mrs.Trivic.
" Dukat fest 2009 will be one of the biggest and the
best organized competition festivals, which were supported
by World Association of Folk Art, which works as a unit of
UNESCO", said the Vice-president of the Association Emma
Chen Hefler. She emphasized the importance of the charity
character of the Festival and stated that culture and charity
are closely connected.
"This Festival is connecting people, cultures, traditions
and customs from the participant's countries, which is one
great idea. We will negotiate with representatives from Mongolia
to donate financial means for the medical treatment of Vladimir
Simic", said Mrs. Hefler.
Stevo Simic, the father of four years old Vladimir Simic,
expressed his gratitude to the organizers of Dukat fest 2009
and together with the organizers he invited citizens to visit
the concert and in that way to help to this action.
Today the representatives of the Second International Folk Festival Dukat fest have organized the meeting with citizens in front of the info booth at Krajina Square in Banja Luka, where they have presented the program and events which will be held during the Festival.
The tickets for the concerts of 5 KM are already sold at the info booth and income of the tickets will be donated for the medical treatment of four years old Vladimir Simic from Derventa.
The organizers consider that the interest of the citizens for manifestation is great and they have once more invited all interested to visit the concerts in Banja Luka, Prijedor, Laktasi, Mrkonjic Grad and Modrica and to give thier contribution to this charity action .
Everything
is set up for the 2nd international folk festival "Dukat
fest".
12 folk ensembles from Europe, Africa and Asia will participate
at the festival.
The organizer of the festival stated that this the program
will be held in Banja Luka, Laktasi, Prijedor, Mrkonjic Grad
and Modrica and the festival will host 12 ensembles from Serbia,
Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Latvia,
Russia, Mongolia, Togo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year festival has charity character, because income of
the tickets will be donated to the medical treatment of four
years old Vladimir Savic from Derventa.
All information on program will be available to the citizens
at info booth which will be placed at Krajina square from
8.6.2009. to 19.6.2009.
The organizer of the festival stated that festival could not
be held without support of the Government of Republic of Srpska,
Ministry of Education and Culture and Ministry of Family and
Sport, the Town of Banja Luka, the Municipality Mrkonjic Grad
and Modrica, Optima group and Radio- Television of Replic
of Srpska.
In
the next two months citizens of Republic of Srpska and Banja
Luka will enjoy in various cultural manifestation. One of
those manifestation is the Second International Folk festival-
Dukat Fest 2009.
At
the press conference in Banja Luka the director of the festival
Mrs. Natalija Trivic confirmed that the festival will be hekd
from 16.6.2009. to 21.6.2009. in Banja Luka and other towns
in Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"This
year the participants at the festival will be folk ensembles
from former Yugoslav Republics and from countires around the
world. and for the first time the public will have opportunity
to see the folk ensebmle from Mongolia.", said Mrs. Trivic.
She
also stated that tihs except in Banja
Luka the programme will be held in Prijedor,
Laktasi, Mrkonjic
Grad and Modrica.
At the final ceremony which will be held on 19.6.2009.at the
city stadium in Banja Luka the best ensemble will win grand
prix in the amount of 1000 euro.
